About Us

What began as a class project between two high school friends has grown into full-service custom apparel and promotional product company located in the heart of Southern Illinois. Silkworm has been serving its customers, team members, and community since 1981. In that time, Silkworm has grown from a basement to a 32,000 square foot building, from a single screen printing press to seven presses and state-of-the-art equipment, from two friends to a dedicated team of over 70 employees.We continue to build our business on our long-standing traditions of creating the best customer experience.

I am a PROUD SALUKI ALUMNI and ordered a fleece jacket. Superb customer service! I needed the measurements for the jackets and they provided the information immediately. I called regarding an update and shipping, they were patient. Love my jacket and Many thanks!

Placed a bulk order for various apparel and was exceptionally satisfied. The apparel was high quality and very very reasonably priced. They even package each individual order for us. The customer support is prompt and friendly.

I purchased 2 sweatshirts for a cheer competition. I paid $8.50 for shipping thinking these would be sent to my house. The day of the competition I find out that the shirts were brought there to be picked up. Why would you charge for shipping if you were bringing the shirts? When I went to get my shirts, I find out that they processed my order incorrectly and they only had one of my shirts. I will not be ordering from this company again. Very poorly managed!

My son played in the Colt world series and I bought one of the hats they had at the stadium but I wanted it to have his name and number. I asked if they could do that and then ship me the hat. They said sure and we figured out the detail they sent me a proof with font style and it looks great!

My mom has always had Silkworm design her t-shirts for any of her school events. When I decided to have t-shirts for my wedding rehearsal, I knew exactly who I wanted to design them. They looked AMAZING, and everyone loved them!

It has been many years since I've have visited Silkworm, I had my dad's name embroidered on his hat! The work was amazing! The detailed they showed to every letter was outstanding! To mke sure to make sure it was exactly what I wanted! I am planning to visit in the next couple of weeks for myself to have my name added to my work jacket!

My husband and his brother and wife who were visiting from Mississippi stopped in at your place yesterday around 4:00pm to purchase a few T-shirts. I noticed there was a pricing sign that read glasses $1. My brother in law purchased 2 T-Shirts while I sent my husband with a $10 bill to purchase 2 pair of glasses. To my surprise they kept the entire $10 for the purchase of the glasses.

My husband proceeded to walk back to where the sign was and inquired as to why they charged him the entire $10 amount when the sign read $1 and he was informed it was because he did not purchase any other eclipse gear. I was in the car as we had just came from a family reunion and I was too hot to get out. Needless to say, I will never be back to this place.

They neglected to say that you had to purchase some other gear before the price was at the advertised price. My brother in law did make his purchase as he wanted the shirts but I am very disappointed in the transaction and how it was handled. You just lost a good customer/customers due to the way we were charged and treated.
